We just bought a 2010 Dodge Journey SXT and my wife noticed that when she is at a full stop when she goes the transmission pulls hard and she call fell everytime it changes gears......is this something that can be fixed or is this normal....this is our first Dodge ever....

 

It's "normal" in that it's a standard automatic,the only time
my "11 DJ shifts smoothly(still feel it) is when I featherfoot it
to 2000 rpm til it gets to 5th gear.
If I boot it(real temptation with Pentastar) the shifts are firm
and noticeable.
I don't know about pulling hard as I have no experience with
the 3.5 V6 nor the 2.4/4spd in a DJ.
