No transmission dipstick on 2011 dodge journey 3.6 litre vvt, Any reason why?

You have to buy it separately for $50 thru Miller tool.
Chrysler got this idea from Mercedez benz to save $2 on a $20,000 car.

they are service dipsticks and not designed to be installed permanently
such is progress

My 2006 Jeep Gr Cherokee didn't have a dipstick either. Just a cap..
