Exclamation 2012 Journey R/T - Possible Trans Problem?

I just bought a brand new '12 R/T AWD & since I got it, I have noticed that between 60 & 70 kph there is a weird shudder/noise in the front pass wheel & when at idle, when engine hot, its pretty rough!!!! it only has about 2200kms on it. wondering if any one has had the same problem or know whats wrong? Took it to dearership serv center & they say thats normal cause of the engine & exhaust configureation???? looking for a second opinion lol

My '11 SXT Pentastar does not exhibit any of those symptoms.
Mind you it's FWD so it may be related to your AWD system.

You really should just ask ur dealer if you can test drive another Journey and see if it does it as well. Maybe it is normal, it could be just an exhaust drone.

i have a 2012 R/T, with like mileage. I also have a droning noise between 60 and 70 kph. However, I don't have the shudder.

I took the R/T in to have it looked at, and was told that it has to with the tight tolerance between the exhaust and AWD components. Apparently this is a known problem and the suggested fix was to re-torque the bolts on the brackets holding up the exhaust system. Other then that, I was told there is no fix in the works at this time.

As another forum member suggests, I may file this concern with customer service, so that if any mechanical failure occurs down the way, there is a record that I had it looked at, and the suggested fix didn't work.

Other then that, I am really enjoying the R/T.

has anyone heard of putting a GF Performance Chip Kit for the DODGE JOURNEY in? would this be a wise decision? it is stating that it will increase 60hp 30lbs of torque and is advertising 4 to 7 mpg improvement on gas?? anyone anyone have one in their DJ?

These quick gain chips in the past have proven to be a waste
of money and seldom do as promised.
If Diablo or other such well known tuning companies offer
anything for the Pentastar then usually they are backed
by testing/r&d and are not cheap.
