1/4 Mile on 2012 Journey R/T
Has anyone been bold enough to take their Journey to the track? I'd love to know what it ran to get a baseline. Going to go buy one this weekend and then Mod it and race it.
Thanks,
Matt

here is what iam thinking of doing. test what it does in 0-60., in seconds. i think the racing people will have charts that will guesstamat what the 1/4 time would be. just am idea. maybe Motor Trend or some one else tested it when new, seams like a lot of out fits test cars now days.
I have an Iphone app that estimates 0-60 / 1/4 mile etc. I used it with my G8 and it was within a 10th on most occations. I'll set it up with my journey when I pick it up today. I'll put on 1-2000, give her an oil change and let her rip a couple times.
I have seen people claiming 0-60 times of 7-7.5 on the r/t so that should be good for a 15.3-15.5 quarter. My G8 V6 ran 7.6 & 15.6 stock. I modded her to get to 15.3 in the quarter so that should be 7.3 0-60. It was a hair lighter than the journey and had 30 less HP. Given the extra gear in the journey and a better HP to weight ratio I am hoping for low 15's. The only thing is the G8 has a much less wind drag. I might take her to the track next spring and see.

Edmunds has this:
The 2012 Journey SXT and Crew get a 3.6-liter V6 good for 283 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque. It gets a six-speed automatic and front-wheel drive standard, but all-wheel drive is optional. At the track we recorded a 7.5-second 0-60-mph time for a Journey V6 FWD.
