Default Tires/Rims - Will 225/75R16 Work on my 2009 Journey?

hey everyone,
I am looking to get a 2nd set of Rims/Tires for my 2009 Journey. Was looking on Kijiji and there is a person selling an exact fit tires for my car, but only different is the tires on the rims the seller has are 225/75R16. my current tires on my Journey are 225/70R16.

Will the 75s work fine as far as turning without rubbing/hitting inside the wheel well? anything else I should be aware of?

Here are the differences:

Thanks

I would think you will be fine with this rim/tire combo.
Your speedo will be slightly inaccurate but not enough
to cause concern.

Yes your speedo will read 100 km/h but your actual speed is 103.1 km/h.

This is a calculator:

thanks for the info.

The set of 4 rims/tires I found is from a Jeep. Not sure which year/model. I took my car in to get the tires rotated and spoke to the tech there and he said the rims may not fit on my car because of the location of the breaks on the Journey. All these Rims are designed a bit differently he said I gotta be real careful.

what are your thoughts guys?

You really just have to try it. The difference between rims are wheel Off Set. If you have a rim with too much offset (positive), the inside of the rim will by jammed against the caliper.

But a wheel Spacer will solve the problem. If the Lug Pattern is the same, you shouldn't have any problem.

What kind of Jeep does it came out of? Jeep Liberty?

The bolt pattern is the same. 5 bold at 127mm. 16" rim. Tire on it is 225/75R16, but thats not an issue as I'll just put my new Michelin LTX M/S2 tires on the aluminum rim.

I'll see if I can borrow 1 rim and take it to a shop to try it out.

I just got a message saying the rims are from a 2008 Jeep. Trying to find the model.

Try Google search "2008 jeep wheel specifications" or
go to the Jeep forum on the net and ask.

Looking at this page:
http://www.discountedwheelwarehouse...._Reference.cfm

I see the following car with the same wheel specs as I can see:
2008 Jeep Commander - 5 lug 5 inch or 127mm High Positive Offset
2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee - 5 lug 5 inch or 127mm High Positive Offset

I just not sure about the "High Positive Offset". Any idea what that means?

Thanks
