Bought this car a year ago. Pulling a log splitter home and the check battery light came on. Car has 25000. Checked the battery has sufficient amps. Any one have this proble and if so what was the cure. Thanks

Light still on after putting on charger. Tested battery with multimeter. Dealer installed wiring and hitch. Wiring all good hooked up to camper and all lights worked. So I hopeing with other things I am finding it's a loose wire behind radio from reading other forums I have been reading. Hoping nothing to major.
So you are checking battery voltage with a multimeter. You may need to get the battery actually load tested. A battery may have 12 volts but may not have the load capacity required. I'd start with having the battery load tested. Using a multimeter on a battery will only tell you the voltage, not measure the batteries capacity to carry the load of the vehicle electronics plus the trailer.
Ahh...hopefully it is warrantied. We just had to replace ours. I was going to do it myself, but the thing cost nearly $250. Luckily we have an extended warranty so we just had to pay a $100 deductible. The bill was close to $700 with parts and labor. Freakin ridiculous what it costs to repair a vehicle these days.
Starting this past Saturday my 2012 Dodge Journey SXT 3.6l I have been boosting my vehicle every morning. So had it towed in with issue and they say bad cell in battery and the replaced the battery. But whats weird about it tho I started the car one time and then 30 minutes later my car wouldn't start it needed a boost. But other times it was ok all day, even in the evenings. I am wondering if the issue more than the battery.
