Default Overheating

I'm having an issue with my 2009 Dodge Journey 4 cylinder. The engine keeps on overheating we put premixed antifreese in it before any long trip because if you don't have the heater on blowing hot air the temerature guage goes to extreme hot and a warning buzzer sounds. We had it to dodge and they put a new thermostat the tech said it had 2 thermostats is that true? We even replaced the radiator cap and the problem still exsists. Do you have any ideas that we can have a mechanic look for.

Welcome to DF. Created your own thread for you so you will get more visibility. Have you flushed the system? Could have a clogged radiator or there is aur in the system. Thats what any mechanic should look for to start with.

The 2.4 L World engine does have 2 thermostats.
First the system should be drained completele then
flushed as you have already replaced some components
in the coolant path it could be an air lock as suggested.
