Problem is in winter more then summer and draw is 2.4 A off battery. If I leave it on charge all night the charger keeps the 2.4 A up and no problems in morning. I am guessing it is one of the flaps in the air vent that because of the snow or ice will not shut. Dealership will not touch it unless I sign a waiver and do not ask for my money back because they cannot find the problem. I have a 2012 SXT Journey and this has been doing it for 4 years now. No problems in warm weather.
I feel the technicians, even at the dealership, are far to inexperienced to deal with all these electrical issues. I went to Auto Zone and got a free diagnostic, it showed nothing about the window going up and down by itself, or the wipers, or the horn being haunted. As for the battery loosing charge it said to replace the(recently replaced alternator). The technicians are just doing what the diagnostics are telling them to do, they don't or won't look in to it deeper. As for the battery, I'm just going keep disconnecting the negative cable every night. At least I wont have to always get a jump as much.
Just want to say thanks to all the posts. Bought a 2011 Journey in Aug 2021. A few jump starts and got a new battery Nov 2021. 1 month later dead battery again and again... I read lots of posts. Did the amp draw test. No amp drop after pulling all the fuses one at a time. Frick! Eventually found 2 wires spliced to the ignition wire and one directly to power. Followed them to under the dash. Was a GPS Tracker. I cut Tracker wires and ripped it out. Rejoined the ignition wire. Now after 10 mins amp draw is down to 0.05 amps.

Update: Battery issue solved. New starter fixed the drain. However, lock buttons don't work, left drivers window only works when you find the sweet spot to raise it............over heated when heater hose tee's blew out.......having many issues since. Most of the sensors have been replaced that were next to the engine block.........just installed a new MAP........runs better, but still drops rpms at idle and in drive........only codes are P0325, knock sensor 1 bank............but what causes that?

hello mate I will give you the very best advice for ur DJ ELECTRICAL ISSUES?? UPGRADE UR GROUND WIRE/s.. Dodge Journeys are SO well known for this that there is pages & pages in forums all over the net about DJ’s “Dead Battery” - “Bad Alternator” “Starter Motor” & “The Dreaded- NO START Issue!! People were spending some decent money to “FIX” their Journeys only for the same problem to appear a day or 2 later.Don’t go buy new battery or starter motor or a new alternator cos that’s not the problem!!To FIX ALL THE DODGE JOURNEYS ELECTRICAL ISSUES, ALL YOU HAVE 2 DO IS UPGRADE THE GROUND WIRE/s!! If you inspect ur engine bay take a look @ the ground wire?? It looks like DENTAL FLOSS🤣 BUT ONCE YOU INSTALL A BIGGER GAUGE WIRE/CABLE & GET A GOOD GROUND CONNECTION I AM 99.99% SURE UR ELECTRICAL ISSUES WILL BE GONE FOR GOOD!! Give it a crack and don’t let this problem do ur head in anymore.👍🏻 Ur welcome
2011's had this issue and the TSB was to reprogram the BCM. The no start, or drained battery, was due to the BCM keeping the vehicle communication bus awake.
Could this be the same issue with a 2010 Dodge Journey?
My 2015 Dodge Journey does that too, it honks a couple times quick, Then "All Doors would UNLOCK". Check your Doors after it Honks!
All kinds of Weird electrical happenings with my Journey so I'm going to take in to any Garage and get my ECM Flashed, I've heard it can get rid of that kind of things from happening.
What I've done for my "Battery going Dead all the time" My Temporary fix is a "Solar panel Trickle charger" Hooked up to battery to keep it charged till I get ECM Flashed. Cheapest place I've found them is TEMU.
I've Not had a problem dealing with them for a couple years now. Quality stuff at about a third of the cost of what we pay in North America. I've gotten A lot from them.
