Default Help! Is KitKat Too Sweet For Uconnect?

My Dodge Journey UConnect/RE2 does not currently work with Kitkat, Android version 4.4 for Samsung Galaxy S3. I purchased the phone at the same time I purchased my Journey and they used to work together. The phone system software has since updated. Is their a "Work-Around" for talking Hands Free using Uconnect and Android 4.4 until Dodge updates to 4.4?

Welcome to DF! I have not a clue what your issue is there..... Have you tried re-connecting your phone to the Journey?

Connection is BT and should not be operating system
reliant , I have not tried 4.42 on mine as I use an old HTC
on JellyBean.
No doubt you have checked to make sure BT is on and
"discoverable" when pairing.

Default Blue Tooth Pairing for KitKat

I have tried pairing with Blue Tooth. It gets hung up with a message that reads "Please Wait". The Parkway Dodge Dealer says that it is due to the incompatibility with the android version on the phone. IS THAT RIGHT? OR DO THEY NOT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING?

Message displayed while trying to pair Uconnect to phone.

Disconnect your DJ battery from the system at the negative jumper
spot for 10 - 15 minutes , reconnect and try pairing again.
If this fails there maybe a problem with the BT module or the
radio itself.
There have been some posts on the net about the '13 - '14 BT
modules failing.
