I have a 2009 2.4L 4 cylinder Journey with about 131,000 miles. It has been overheating and PepBoys diagnosed and said it was two thermostats and a radiator hose that needed replacing. The thing is my mechanic keeps saying that my engine only has one thermostat, he says the bigger engine has two but not mine. I've googled my heart out, I cannot find out if there are one or two. Anyone know, and could you tell me where they are?

Seriously??? At all or only heard of one in the 2.4l 4 cyl engine? the guy said one is for the heat and one is for the engine. They do have a history of trying to price gouge me. Like charging $800 for something and then I look at the receipt when my warranty only had to pay like 400

 

The 2.4 L World Engine in the 2009 has 2 thermostats ,
it was used in the Dodge Caliber also and I drove one for 5 years.
