Default Frozen in Michigan

New member in Michigan. 2010 Journey wipers don't work below 20 degrees. After car warms up or above 20, it's fine.

Hi greggreen,

I'm sorry you're experiencing this. Have the wipers been doing this for some time, or did this just start occurring?

It just started doing that last week. It seems that if it sits idling about 15 min. it works. When the wipers are dead there is no click or anything. I am just trying to catch it in the act now. Doesn't seem to be getting voltage to the motor, relay maybe? Have volt meter and know how to use it.

Default Update on frozen

Update: at 12° I got down to the motor, gave it a little tap with a hammer and it took off running. Sprayed all moving joints with CRC, (not WD-40) and have had one instance when they didn't work. A couple times at 15° they worked. New motor is in order if it stays cold in MI.
