Default 2015 Dodge Journey Overheating

Hi All,

Seeing if someone could tell me what may have happened that caused our issue?

We had a bad storm in Illinois Friday. As we were driving at night, we went through a small puddle of water, which ended up splashing in the engine compartment. We noticed smoke coming from the radiator, immediately. As we got home, I checked the fuse for the radiator fan and it was blown. Thought this would be an easy fix, so I went to the closest auto store and replaced the fuse. The fuse blew out as soon as I turned the vehicle on.

What else could be making the fuse blow out, immediately?

Thanks

The fan probably shorted out. Let it dry out first before replacing it again.

Went and tried to replace the fuse, again. Blew out right away.

I tried a few other tests and compared the fan to my other vehicle. The fan on the journey is really tough and doesn't spin freely when I tired it with my hand. The other vehicle it spun real easy...

Could this mean I need a new radiator fan?

I would like to add that there are no visible leaks anywhere or on the ground.
