2010 Dodge Journey, AWD, R/T. My radio (REU version with nav) stopped working and I noticed my reverse camera does not work. Is the reverse camera controlled by the radio?

 

2010 Dodge Journey, AWD, R/T. My radio (REU version with nav) stopped working and I noticed my reverse camera does not work. Is the reverse camera controlled by the radio?

 

You need to be a bit more specific. What exactly "stopped working"? The sound? The buttons? The screen?

 

The headunit does not power on and neither does the NAV display in the dash. So my guess is the headunit controls both the reverse camera and nav screen or at least that is what I am asking.

 

If it helps I also tried a regular headunit from a SXT model and it plays audio fine and all features function. Just that the SXT model headunit does not control the NAV system so there is no way to get power from the headunit to it. So I know there is power going to the original headunit but it just wont come on. And I am trying to figure out if that is the reason the reverse camera also does not work.

Glad you got it figured out. Obviously no one has had your particular problem. You could add what you found wrong so others that may have the same issue will know what to look for.
