Default 2012 Journey RT

Hi. I own a 2012 Journey RT. Recently had a p0440 and p0441 code and during my check of the evap system I discovered some oil staining around the spare bolt under the back end. Upon looking in the jack well I found about a half litre of motor oil pooled in the bottom. .. wifey had decided to store an open oil container from our old car in the new car. So upon cleaning I noticed the oil had severely degraded the rubber mat lining the bottom of the well . Should I drop the spare and clean any oil from the tire and more importantly the vacuum hoses and evap canister to prevent damage to this? This has been sitting a while from the looks of it and the "fresh" oil was a deep black from the dissolved rubber mat. Any insight would be appreciated.

Probably would not be a bad idea.
