Hi i have a 2010 2.7L Journey and i have a problem with the automatic transmission not changing gears. It changes through the options P R N D. From starup it will go into drive or the manual change but a few minutes into the drive it will stay in D and not change through the gears.
Has anyone experienced this before and if so know what the problem is?

If it showed no symptoms before becoming suddenly problematic, it sounds like a Transmission speed sensor $20-30 fix. The physical transmission failure is a gradual thing. You'll feel slipping and shaking for up to 5k mile before it totally fails. So you'll have some warning. A electronic sensor can stop working at any minute. So if you went from working fine to suddenly not working, then it's probably the sensor. If it doesn't know how fast you are going, it will go into safe mode and stop working.
