2012 Dodge journey reverse issue
I recently bought a 2012 dodge journey from a dodge dealer. I have had it for about a year and it has only had one previous owner. clean carfax, low mileage.
We recently drove it from KY to FL on a family vacation. When we arrived, the reverse stopped working.
When you put the car into reverse, you can hear it go into gear. If you lightly apply gas and lightly pump it, the car will slightly reverse( mostly natural pull) but the car is shuttering. If you apply any regular pressure to the gas, you hear it reving but no movement. We have already replaced the transmission fluid using the dipstick i bought online. The code is reading a reverse code. the check engine light will occasionally come on, but it mainly is not on. occasionally the traction control will turn off as well and wont let me turn it back on.
Is the anything else i can possibly do before buying a rebuild kit? Thank
