Noise from the engine
Hi all,
My dodge journey 2010 2.4L is making an irregular noise (meaning it does not come with synchronized pattern). In the beginning, it was just at the time of starting the engine. Now it is there all the time when I am driving. I took it to the mechanic and he failed to find the source. Instead he said that such noise can be because of bad alternator or a/c or water pump. So not sure where is it coming from. I have attached a clip so that anyone who have faced the same issue in the past could guide me. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Try removing Alternator drive belt and check/spin by hand all pulleys, guide rollers and tensioner , if no roughness is found try starting with belt removed to see if noise is still there.
