Vehicle Certification Label
Hi. I just purchased a 2011 journey SXT with 100 k miles on it. It suffered a minor accident in 2017 that necessitated the change of the driver door. The previous owner purchased a 2010 model door that does not have the key less entry feature. I can live with that although if someone tell me just to change the door handle to one that has the feature would work, I would do it. Anyway, as the title mentions I want the 2011 label for my Vin. I called up a dealer and he told me it could take a month to get it at a cost of approx. $150.00 can. + taxes. Yikes, is this the normal price for a sticker?
Thanks. I already have the build sheet. I wanted to know if it is a normal charge to get a Vehicle Certification Label or the sticker that is usually inside the driver door that tells you when the car was built, paint and trim codes etc. I was told that I have to go through a dealer to get that sticker and he quoted me around $150.00 + taxes = $172.50
