need a little help. Got an engine management light on and the above code, seems to have lost some power and then I loose all power and goes into limp mode when going up a hill or hitting the revs to try build up speed.
I cleared the code when I checked the fault but it came back after a week or so
anybody had experience with this problem
or does anybody have any ideas on what could be causing this?
as always, your help and expertise is always appreciated
Hi there
I'm dealing with the same problem in my 2009 Journey 2.0 crd , started with some momentary (1 sec every 5 to 10 seconds during acceleration) lost of power and then the motor check light .
Now i have -P0299 (turbocharger/supercharger A under-boost)
-P0101 (mass air flow/volume air flow sensor A circuit range/performance)
-P2002 (particulate filter B1 - efficiency below threshold) this one shows as permanent
I'm gonna try to install a new complete turbo i bought 3 years ago (it apparently sounds like a turbo problem since it comes as a intermitent turbo wistling during acceleration)
Anyone dealing or fixed the same diagnose codes ?
Best regards

I spoke to a local Chrysler breakers and they told me code P0299 was a common problem and they provided me with a vacuum solenoid module part number 05105711AA see image below. You may need to change this too but i cant for the life of me find where this bloody thing lives so i havent been able to change it. If you find out whilst your having yours changed or anybody else knows where this thing is located please do let me know
That's nice to have another point to explore .
My mechanic say's that it's probably the turbocharger (electronic component/valve) in the turbo that it's damaged, but i will bring this new option for him to explore and will post here any news. Will install new turbo that i bought some time ago and see what happens .
For now , after deleting the error in the ECU , the car is drivable but with some loss of power every now and then.
BTW ... can someone tell me if there's any need to reprogram ECU after new turbo or if by doing the work without connected battery it will assume the same features (since it's an original turbo for this car with all the electronic from origin program) ???
Thank's in advanced
Best regards

There can be many reasons for the drop in power. I had a reason because of insufficient compression: there is not enough pressure for the normal compression of the fuel mixture and its ignition. I decided to make chevy 5.3 horsepower upgrade, I upgraded the chip and tuner, as well as the exhaust system and air intake system, this site https://nashvilleperformance.com/sil...ance-upgrades/ describes in detail all the upgrades and how to upgrade your car as efficiently as possible.
