Default Heat problem on 3.6 R/T 2012

Hi everyone
This problem is pretty normal,as I have researched it here and in general so I'm mostly starting this for some help and what my next action should be.

My Journey is a 3.6 R/T 2012 model which I bought with 149.000 km in 2018. Everything was working great until at some point I had the the hot air coming out from the driver's side and as you transitioned towards the passenger side, it would come out cold. I went to my mechanic and he did a flush of the system with CLR and I admit that the heat came back but just for a day.

We then tried the actuators (all 3 ) but that didn't work so he said it was probably the heater core and it would need to be replaced. After 3 years of no heat I finally had some time to get my heat fixed by another mechanic (friend of mine). This was done in an Autumn weather (i'm defining that because it's part of my question) and he eventually replaced the heater core with a new one and told me that I had heat.

I drove off and indeed it was hot BUT as I put my hand toward the blowers, going from my side to the passenger's side it would get a little less hot and that rang my bells again. I called him and he said he had noticed it but it was significantly better than it was before and I agreed (I didn't want to go another year in -30 temperatures.

This is where it gets worse. As winter came I would eventually lose whatever heat I had coming out of the driver's side. In Autumn, where the temperature was warm,I would have sufficient heat but come Winter and minus temperatures, I lost whatever heat I had.

I ended up taking it back and he changed the thermostat (he said it was stuck open) ,he changed the water pump but my heat would not work again so I bought an actuator from Amazon and brought it with me and told him to test this manually (without hooking it up to the Journey's controls) and we did exactly that. Now this is where it gets weird again. Upon closing the flap manually I actually (or wanted to think I did) got hot air coming out of the middle passengers side blower. I just want o clarify that I read about this solution, in this forum and that's why I tried it. We aligned it carefully so it would fully close and open with the controller and after finishing and driving away, I didn't have hot air again.....

I paid $1500 for materials and labor and with a new heater core, thermostat, water pump and actuator, I still have no heat. This is my question: Is there anywhere I can get a diagram or some form of picture so I can understand how this system works or some help from someone knowledgeable in this forum? He is not caring to solve my problem (won't be taking it back to him anymore) but I find it really difficult to understand as to why it can't be fixed.

Thank you for hearing me out and for any help

Chris
