Last Tuesday, the fine folks in Goodyear marketing came out to the Phoenix area to film and take pictures of my Inferno Red RT (and a Crossfire, '03 Cobra, and Factory 5 Cobra). They're putting together a video that will be released at the SEMA show in November, and after that, it'll be distributed to all Goodyear dealers. We spent almost the whole day in the gorgeous canyons above Mesa, AZ, stopping to have lunch at a quirky BBQ/Mexican diner at Tortilla Flat, AZ (pop. six!).
The promo is for the Eagle F1 GS-D3 tire. Since they don't actually make a GS-D3 tire that has the same overall diamter of the oddly-sized stock 225/60/18 Conti, they gave me a certificate for any four Eagle tires, which was a pretty nice deal.
So, if you're at the SEMA show or stop by your local Goodyear dealer after the SEMA show, look for my red RT!

Thanks, guys! I was approached by a friend of a friend who was in charge of gathering the vehicles. They were looking for an Inferno Red RT, and my friend knew exactly who to call! Any RT is pretty rare here in the Phoenix area, much less a red one.

Really: other than the self-sealing Contis that come withe the RT, what are the realworld tire options for this car? I don't plan on shelling 2-3k on rims and 750-1,000 per tire for 20's or 22's btw...

Well, the rims are 18"x7.5", so the only two size upgrades would be 235/55s or 245/55s. 245/55s are only minutely shorter than the stock tires, so they'd work the best, although 245mm is a tad bit wide for a 7.5" rim. This will cause a bit of imprecision in the steering and cornering because of tire bulge, but how much is unknown.
In a 235/55, there's the Goodyear Eagle RS-A or the Michelin Energy MXV4 S8. In a 245/55, there's the BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KDWS. This info is from the Tire Rack website, so there may be other manufacturers out there that aren't sold by Tire Rack.
