I have yet to see a true CAI. My design is taking FOREVER to get done. They promised it would be done soon. The only things I've ever seen are basically cone filters were the current airbox sits.... which is very much a WAI.

LOL So Phantom will have it shortly 2-3 days and can show pictures of it installed. We have pictures of some very cool anodized effects as well.

In cold temperatures the gains over the completion will be small but once it gets a bit warmer and you’re under the hood intakes are cooking the Phantom will be breathing cold air.

We wanted to wait another 2 weeks to start selling the kit so we could showcase all the other options but as Phantom said he has waited a long time.

The big advantage to other than actual performance gain is the ability to add looks to the car instead of cheaper plastic. There is also another trick that phantom insisted on that also makes this intake superior.

As it is no one else has this option and other than Phantom who wanted the polished aluminum and blue couplers. There is one other finished with a anodized red and black smoke effect. Very cool.

Does this thing just sit on top of the so called ear drum?

 

This intake uses the equivalent of two intakes to make sure the actual filter is not in the engine bay. This has been proven over and over as the best system available for actual gains from a cold air intake.

We will have better pictures of the unit installed and a dyno result for ya.

As long as the filter is in the engine bay the temp will always be too high.

The acid test of the lesser warm air intakes will be when the headers are installed.

All I can say is you will see and our new photos will also help give you an idea.

The cost will be going up to 300.00 after our first run.

I tried getting the K&N kit and I heard that the Kit has been recalled for some more R&D. They said that the kit wont be avaliable for 60 days. Anyone with more info?

 

I'm also waiting on Volant and Vararam to see what Ram Air Intake they come up with.

 

k2pow, where did you here that the typhoon was recalled? K&N doesn't have any knowledge of this. Try to get your info correct before you go posting rumors here. This forum has been pretty good so far and we don't need people posting false info on the boards, especially about any aftermarket stuff. This is a place where we help each other.
Btw, I verified the invalidity of this with a tech at K&N.
The kit is available thru 4 filters for 278.00 and several other online resellers.

Ram Air without a hood is a joke. Just ask any Pontiac owner.

 

Speaking of hoods - the Ram trucks get special hoods, where's the one for a Magnum? Owning 2 GTOs and having ALWAYS liked the hoods on Challengers this seems like a big oversight to me. Maybe the SRT8 will get one and I can order that hood and bolt it on(if my car ever gets built).
