What's does this symbol mean? It's not in my manual.

My 2005 SXT starting running really rough yesterday, almost like it was missing a fire on a cylinder. The accelerator is not very responsive and now the check engine light has come on, too, as well as that "lightning bolt" symbol questioned above.

It's been sitting for about 2 months (just got a Wrangler TJ) and it's been driven only twice since July 1.

Anyone have a clue???

Electronic Throttle Control Light (ETC). Page 137 item16 in your owners manual. Read up,it may be dealer time.

 

You or thedealer do a search for a TSB on it as a start forthe diagnosis and fix, it often save a lot of time and energy figuring out what is wrong.

that symbol comes on when the computer starts to lose control of the throttle. the list of reasons is huge. you can pinpoint it better with the MIL codes you have stored.
