Default Question on 2008 Magnum

Does anyone have any idea when these start hitting show rooms? I see the new model on the Dodge website. I've done a search of inventory in my area and none are listed. Also did a "live chat" with a Dodge rep via web and the indication was that they would arrive soon and that 2008 models were now in production.

Thanks in advance!

They should be arriving at showrooms as we speak. Brampton Assembly plant began production of '08 LX vehicleslast week of September. I got one of the early ones built. Here is the post of the pics.

Thanks DC. I saw your pics andam envious of your ride. That's exactly the color I want except with navi and backseet entertainment. Am VERY intersted to see the quality of the sirius backseat TV??? I guess I could check that out now on the Caravan?

Also last night did a little investigation and looks like the Toronto parts plant really had problems with door panels and that slowed down product in Brampton. Hopefully these cars will start making their way to may place soon.

You're exactly right about the cause of production delays. The '08 minivans were the 1st Chrysler vehicles to get the Sirius Backseat TV option.

I have seen about three on the roads already since last month. I bought mine about 3 weeks ago (traded in for an 05 R/T) I was gonna wait for the 08, however I personally like the 05-07 Front Ends much better, they have mercedes style headlights with a mean looking housing....oh yeah and come in chrome. The 08's have much of a charger style Front End...at least the 3 i've seen on the road. From my rearview mirror I would have bet them to be Chargers up until they got much closer. As far as the wheels, i feel they 05-07 standard R/T rims are nicer than the 08's. My 07 w/ R/T Group Pkg came with the "20in" Dodge Chrome Clad Wheels & 245 45 20 Goodyear Eagle tires....just to name a few of the many upgrades. So you can find one snag it for a Better overall deal like those clearance year end sales. However if your really set on the 08...look up your closest "FIVE STAR DEALER"...as they would get first dibs and hold more in stock. There were 39 miles & 7 Dodge Dealers between my house and a FIVE STAR DEALER. The dealer in my city are a "Three Star"....due to their crappy delayed service.Goodluck on your search & deal.

Peace!

I work at a new dealership. I have only seen one so far. You will really like the new front end and the new layout of the hood.

I think the 08 front end is a little more my speed. I haven't seen any on the road just yet. I qualify for an associate vendor discount on DCJ vehicles so I don't know if I can bargain for a better deal or just go with the the associate vendor discount. Does anyone know what a good deal would be if I bargain? .5 above, 1% above invoice, 2% above invoice, etc??? I always feel like I get taken to the cleaners when I purchase a car. Thanks in advance.

If you can, go to 2 dealerships and pit them against each other. At this time, sales are off, I am sure you will almost get what you want. Good luck, and btw, you will love your magnum when you get it. Awesome car indeed!!!

It is nice, My Dealer was "hiding" them in the back (I speculate) to try and move off the new 06 and 07s still on the lot. Found one fully loaded, RT trim, MyGig is wonderful and easy to use so far.
