... too excited to sleep. I pick up my Black 2005 Dodge Magnum RT tonight after work (yeah, I'll be able to concentrate today).... I was going to hold out for the AWD version, but decided against it. For how I drive and where I drive, just wasn't worth the extra money and wait... but, I got every other options other than the roof rack (didn't like the look of it).

It will be hard to keep my hands off of it for a while and remember that this is my daily driver, NOT my race car... already starting to look to the aftermarket for CIA and cat backs... sigh...

Either way, very excited!

GAK... my excitement might have me jumping the gun. Got a very unpleasant call from the dealership, seems they cannot get the vehicle that they have promised me. Will keep you posted, and bash the dealership if they end up screwing me.

Well, Christmas finally came last night at about 8:30PM... the Dealership came through and got me my black Magnum RT WITHOUT the roof rack and with all the other options... I still don't know how to use most of them, but it really is fun learning about them! Still have some questions about how to do stuff, but I am about 75% through the owner's manual (yeah, I actually read them!)

First impressions: The car is quick... about what I expected, what I didn't expect is how smooth it is. Although I haven't gone "***** to wall" yet, I did some playing around with the traction control stuff, and it was a lot of fun, very impressed with how well this car handles for it size.

Kinda reminds me of a car I purchased in 1996... big, fast, and handles suprisingly well! USMCJoseph knows what I am talking about!

Glad to here you got your Black Magnum RT. I have a Black RT ordered also but will be months before I get it. Keep us posted on how you like it.I test drove the Magnum and I thought is was a smooth operating wagon and had to have one.
