Hello fellow Magnum fanatics
Oh BTW, you're not really supposed to flash to pass - that could be construed as "pushing" traffic. You're supposed to stay back and not tailgate AND signal lane changes no less! You CAN get a ticket for these infractions but of course you CANNOT get one for speeding - speeding on unlimited sections is impossible! Americans just can't imagine.
I once got a speeding tkt in a speed rated zone by a camera system, I was doing 120mph in a 60mph zone (can't remember the conversion) and they mailed me a ticket....I think it was $65, I'ld pay that to do those speed here.....frequently. Especially since it never got back to my USAA insurance. I know about the left blinker to pass, but seriously, this guy covered a huge amount of ground over a hill behind me and got on me in seconds....for all I know, he might have had on the blinker the whole time, I just didn't see him until the last 2-3 car lengths when I looked back again and he's there flashing me, it must have been the american plates I had on the car which gave him the intuition that I wouldn't know any better of the infraction of the law of blinding me to get my attention.
And the 138mph gov'ner did suck, now I have aftermarket programming on the car (which wasn't yet available before I left germany) that takes the redline to 7K and no top speed govner, like I need that here! Oh well.

USA white plates - how degrading, they make you look like an idiot before you even start the car.
Speaking of governors Mercedes has put a rev limiter on their cars for years - my 1980 Has one - it simply monitors the IGN pulses and cuts off fuel over 5850RPM (big V8). I'd bet the Magnum has something - maybe even a speed governor for less than Z tires. However I do like red-line rev limiters especially with a manual on the autobahn since some cars I've had could be redlined - so at speed you don't have to always watch the tach.
