Default quick tire question

i have 22" wheels on my r/t. the place i bought my wheels offers free rotation every 6 months. i'm thinkin about investing in an air compressor and impact wrench so i can switch out my stocks and the 22"s at will. my only concern is the balance of the tires that have been stored for close to 4 months now. do i need to rebalance the tires after storing them? also, should i store my tires at a lesser air pressure? thanks for any help.

The only recommendation I would have is not to let rubber touch the cement floor directly. Leave it an old carpet, cardboard, plastic, anything will work.

I'm no tire expert, but it seems to me that balance would remain the same. To become unbalanced, you'd have to remove or add material to the tire/wheel. Storing them on edge for long enough might create a flat spot which would bounce the tire as if unbalanced. Since your's were stored horizontal, I'd be surprised if they bounced.

As an aside, I just read somewhere (I forget where) that tires ought to have a "use by" date on them, like milk and eggs. The claim is that they don't age well, and even unmounted tires sitting around the warehouse too long can have shorter life spans.

NO! NO!

Wash before storing. Wax wheels. ArmorAll tires. Store horizontal off concrete.
