RE: Worlds quickest N/A Magnum R/T
nice pass! can i ask what mods are done to the vehicle. I just picked up an 06 last week. I love this car! almost as much as my Ram
do our cars weigh about 4300 #'s?
I was thinking a catback, coldair and a tune. that is about all i ak interested in doing.
also what catback are you running, i was thinking about the SLP catback, but i think it is a bit on the LOUD side, AKA Loud Mouth, ha ha!
thanks

Great run...I misread the first time and was thinking it said 13.52...even that would be a pretty good time.
May I ask how much the heads are milled, what octane gas you run, andwhat rear tires you use at what pressure?
I am a little confused about the Diablo and the B&G. Aren't they used for similar purpose? Are you using part of one tune and part of another? ...do you download the B&G tune into the Diablo? ...and maybe use Diablo for changing parameters such as redline, shift firmness, etc...
Thanks

the heads are milled .035" with custom flat faced valves. this gave me a 10.7:1 compression ratio and 230psi cranking compression. these 5.7 hemis really respond to the raised compression.
i am using normal pump gas (93 octane)
Mickey Thompson ET drag radials 275/40-17 at 20 psi.
the B&G tune is loaded into the predator and then installed into the pcm. the predator lets you store 5 different tunes in it. i will be getting atrue dyno tune with the CMR software next month. the b&g tune is a general guess tune. the CMR dyno tune will be specific to my car only. they will dyno my car and make changes to the tune, dyno it again and see if it improved. keep dynoing until there is no more power to be found. it normally takes about 15 pulls to get the tune perfect.

my best 60' time with the 20" wheels was 1.90 and my best with the 17" drag radials is 1.85. there's not a major
difference, but there is only so much you can do with a stock torque converter. also, the 17" rims only fit in the back. they
don't clear the front calipers on my R/T.

Yeah I am suprised the difference isn't a little more but your time even with the 20's is good...so it might be difficult to get a large improvement.
My car slowed downed very noticeably when I changed from 28" to 29" tire with the stock converter. With the new converter maybethe tire diameterdoesn't make as much difference at least as far as the 60'time is concerned....it seems to be more traction limitedwith the street tires I have.
I'll be very curious what you can do with the new tune you mentioned and a higher stall converter. That would be awesome if you could break into the 11's...
