Default 2008 R/T Mods???

Hey guys,

Well here's my story. I don't post much I'm more of a lurker lol. Well I am planning on going with an '08 Magnum R/T, steel blue, and grey interior with the P-Package and a sunroof as soon as I get the $$ . Now I dont want to leave it stock cause after all whats the fun in that? So I need suggestions on mods, mods and more mods. Wether it be cosmetic, performance, interior, or exterior post it here! Stuff that will go well with my color scheme or you think is just plain cool . The only things I dont wanna do to this car are put rims on it, a supercharger or anything too mechanically involved as I am not too mechanically inclined and am broke . So, post away fellow Magnum enthuasists!

Look at my signature... I suggest any of those Mods. No "one" mod has gotten me anything eyepopping, but with them all working together she moves with ease. I love eating the Mustangs. They are my favorite meal.

I would recommend a Predator tuner first. You can get for $300-400. Not only do you get some significant power for the money, but you can tweak a bunch of things to make your car faster such as raised redline and firmer shifts. The next best thing from my experience is a higher stall torque converter. This gives you no more max power but allows you to getinto serious power much quicker off the line. From my experience nothing will take more off your 0-60 time than this short ofsomething really major I guess like a supercharger. I have done the intake, the entire exhaust, and a cam. All have disappointed relative to the claims and expectations. On the other hand I may not have gotten as much from the Predator without all the other mods first (?). I started with JET chip, added intake, cat back ex., headers, mid pipes, cam, torque converter, delete JET and add Predator...in that order. The intake and exhaust do sound good howevereven if the gainsare mild.

thanks for the advice Tom! This car is gonna be a daily driver so I dont want to do anything TOO extensive to it. I already have a Magnaflow exhaust and a K&N Intake planned for my car. I dont want to do a tune because I am not too mechanically inclined and afraid i'll blow up something (lol).

The Predatorshould be prettyeasy to use even for someone not mechanically inclined. It has some features such as data logging I haven't used that sound relatively complicated but they don't have to be used for any mild modifications.

You basically plug it into a port and hit a few buttons to tell it what tune you want. If you already have the K&N installed, you would probably choose 91 or 93 octane CAI tune depending on the gas you can get. The 93 CAI will get you about 20 extra horse and as I mentioned you can speed it up in other ways such as firmer shifts and increased redline....but again not necessary.

However, I understand theidea of not wanting to screw anything up...and electronics make me weary but no problems so far. Knock on wood...
