transmission leaking
Hey guys and gals.....
I noticed a spot on my garage floor, and it seemed to be transmission fluid. Doing a search on here, this seems to be a common problem. I've got a '06 Magnum R/T with 9,200 miles and dropped it off last night at the dealer for repair.
Can anyone tell me what the normal fix on this problem is and how long it takes ??? Is it a new gasket or rings or something along that line ??
Thanks.

Well, the dealer said it was called a Transmission Cup Plug......replaced it, under warranty of course, and had it ready along with an oil change in about 4 hrs. Can't beat that !!!!
He said this was a common problem with hemi-equipped vehicles.......

I found TSB 2100205 that deals with fluid wicking around the pan, but can't find anything about the O-rings. Does anyone have the TSB number or other documentation reference the I can take to the dealer?

Hello,
This is a common problem with the Nag1 or 722.6 as Mercedes calls it. On the passenger side at the bell housing, is the electrical plug for the trans. It has 2 O-rings on it to seal the connector coming out. Just be aware of this problem. Just out, Mercedes came out with a 722.9, this is the 7 speed version. They are looking for Dodge to pick this one up too and call it the Nag2.
