I Have been waiting to pick up a magnum for a long time. Now Iam picking one up. But Iam in a deliema. I want it to run about low 15's high 14's. But I dont want a v8. So Iam looking at v6's but iam scared that if I deal with the SE Iam not gonna be able to make the wanted time. Iam willing to buy after market parts but i dont want to have to spend 4gs just to hit 14's with the SE. If I just spend 3gs on an sxt will it be a better deal. Or will i still have to spend some more on after market.

 

I have seen the SXTs running mid 16 s stock. With a predator tuner, intake, and exhaust, (maybe $1,000) you could getmaybe 25-30 HP and bein the high 15 s. To get to 14 s you will need something serious like a radical cam/ported heads/headersor nitrous. I am not sure whether anyone is making performance cams for the SXTs...Why don't you want a V-8? It getsalmost the same mileage....

 

Thats what I ended up doing i finally test drove a SE and I hated it. Then I went looking for parts for an SXT and there was nothing. So I ended up going to the dodge dealership and picking up a v8. Very happy now
