Default Interested in Headers ?

I am talking to a company about header for the R/T and they asked if other R/T owners would be interested. My thoughts are I would like headers if they produced horsepower gains that could be verified by dyno results that gave me a good increase for the dollars spent. In other words good "bang for the buck" What do you think, would you be interested? and what do you feel is a reasonable expectation for horsepower increase with a quality header addition.

Not for me thank you though. Problem is, with the way the dealers can get stickey over warrantee service, I'd rather leave my motor stock for now. Normally on a N/A engine, you will hear claims on 10-20hp gains, but you need to remember, with headers you'll be changing your readings on the ecu and without a chip you may run into "Check Engine" light problems.

Remember, you get what you pay for. Stainless is the only way to go! Coated headers will evenually rust because the coating can only last a couple of years sometimes.

I am interested in a good header. Long tube if possible. I prefer coated myself. Stainless emits too much heat into the engine compartment. It also tends to crack.

Seems like a stalemate, they won't make the headers unless they have a big market for them and we won't buy them unless we know they perform well.

I had stainless headers (Borla) on my 96' Chevy Impala SS, I was NOT impressed with them. I also prefer the coated headers, ceramic if possible and they should be long tube design.
