You'll love it

but

4 to 6 weeks is only for the East and West coast.
Don't ask me why.[sm=sorry.gif]

Uh, I live in Texas so I had to wait.

how are the folks on the coasts getting thiers faster? Its six weeks into my order, and i'm expecting at least six more before I get mine. at least by then the snow should be done in Kansas.

I can't explain why, nor do I understand why. Since I was waiting for mine for 116 days, I had time to read the forums. Every poster who had one or ordered one and got it in 4 weeks was on one of the coasts. People complaining about waiting were the rest of us. My buddy who owns a Chrysler/Dodge dealership said in October that they had a regional meeting of dealerships and every dealer was mad because they couldn't get any Cs or R/Ts (Hemi).

Be patient you'll love your car. I'm glad I ordered mine. I got it just the way I wanted.

Side note:
I started out ordering an "Inferno Red", and then they said it wasn't available. So I changed it to "Midnight Blue", then they said it wasn't available. "Inferno Red was available once again, so I changed it back. What pissed me off was that DC never told my dealer anything; they just left it on indefinite hold. Dealers don't have a clue as to when they will get any cars that are hard to get. I'm just talking about the Hemi motor cars.

I just kept going into my dealer every couple of weeks and checked with the guy who orders the cars there. They won't know much either until it is built. You can go to this website to see what isn't available. That's why I changed my color twice.

There are two ways to check what you want, neither one is very good.

1)

If you have a von you can call customer service and they can look it up for you.

Call 1-800-992-1997.

• The sequence to input is 1, 2, 5, 2, 3... your phone
number, then 1. This brings you to a human who can update you on your order status.

Below is a list of stages in the order process:
Code:

BB Review by fleet department
BD Special equipment processing
BE Edit error
BG Passed edit n/a for schedule
BGL Edit ok parts unavailable
BX Passed edit available for schedule
C Sub firm
D Firm schedule - dealer has allocation and all parts available
D1 Gateline schedule - scheduled to be built
E Frame
F Paint
G Trim
I Built not ok'd
J Built ok'd
JB Shipped to body vendor
JE Emission check
JS Shipped to storage
KZ Released by plant , invoiced
KZL Released - not shipped
KZM First rail departure
KZN First rail arrival
KZO Delayed/recieved
KZOA Plant holds
KZOB Zone/distribution holds
KZOC Carrier delays
KZOD Carrier holds
KZOE Mis-shipped vehicle
KZOF Show/test vehicle
KZOG Damaged vehicle
KZOH All other reasons
KZT Second rail departure
KZU Second rail arrival
KZX Delivered to dealer
ZA Canceled

Customer service computers are a bit slow to update. Usually they get updated once a week regarding build status's. I found that the best time to call was either Wednesday or Thursday afternoon.

2)

This is the brampton web site run by the workers working on our cars.

http://www.bramptonassembly.com/boa...um.php?f=2&sid=

If you have a vin# join the private quarters and the guys on the line will let you know right where you are at and you can read all the gossip.

It'll cost you to join the site and ask questions ($20 or $25 I forget)
I never did it because it only takes 30 hours to build the car, so by the time they know anything it's already made.

Grand Patron,
Thanks for the info. I did call the Dealership and they let me know that there was no public access to their tracking DB. Knowing the codes will help me understand what's going on at least.

We lucked out in getting our sxt, we built one on the computer and then went to a different dealer and they had one on the lot and it was exactlly as we ordered including the inferno red (a deal breaker). WE absolutly love this car 9000 miles
