Default Noobie question

Hey guys im lookin to trade in my Grand Cherokee for a magnum. but i want to know what gas mileage the R/Ts are getting. I dont really want the v6 and i hear the hemi magnums do pretty well on gas. Can anyone confirm this? How well do these cars function in winter, im new to missiouri and the past winters had quite a bit of snow and ice, so u need this to function for all seasons. Thanks guys

Freedom X,
I have an 05' RT and drive in Southern California Traffic on the wonderful 405 Freeway. I average 14 MPG. On a Highway trip to Vegas, I get 28 MPG. Strickly on City Streets, going as fast as possible allowed by the law (0-45 Floored) I get about 11 MPG. If you drive the Highway with no Traffic, I think the RT actually gets better Gas Milage than the V6, but one of the worst Gas Guzzling situations is simply idling in traffic. Took me 2 Hours to get home one night, Heavy Traffic, going about 20 Miles and I used the better part of 1/4 Tank that trip... So MPG is depending upon your driving prefrences... I would probably average 17 MPG, if I didn't have such a Heavy Foot, but that is why I bought the car in the first place.

The best I've got is 26 on the highway. It's a fun car so I usually get about 18 with about 7500 miles on the odometer. Search the posts and you'll see guys getting 28 @70 mph.
