SRT8 Rims and tires for RT
Hello from Mississauga Ontario!
i have 2006 Magnum RT and want to put on the srt8 (charger or magnum) 20 inch rims/tires. How much harsher will the ride be over the stock tires/rubber? I have the 18 inch with Goodyear Assurance tires....not that great and rides rough. hopefully there would not be too much difference in the ride.
also if anyone has for sale let me know. do i also need any spacers or will they bolt right on? some sites in the us say none are needed.
thanks for the input!

it depends on the tires. the 255/45-20 will need a 3mm spacer on the front. the SRT's have a different steering knuckle and that is why they don't need spacers.

I really like the Tire/Wheel set-up that you have.
I see on one of your other posts that your rims are 20x8.5 with a 20mm offset.
What size tires are you running?
I am considering a staggerd set.
maybe 275 in the rear and 245 or 255 in the front.
Thanks,
Terry
cool..i have not used a 'spacer' before...do they just go on the hub loose and the wheel bolts up agains them or are they secured somehow...sorry..green on some tech stuff..but learning!!!!

Yep , they just go on before the rim , and are held in place by the wheel/tire....mine are "hub centric" which means they still keep the wheel centered , like the factory does.
I think they were around $85 if I remember right .
