question for those who ordered a magnum
I'm curious to know what the usual wait time is from the build date to dealer delivery. My salesman called saturday and told me that he has a confirmed build date for Jan 19th
. but nothing more[:@]. since it is getting close I wonder how much longer it'll be until the Magnum is here. Thanks![sm=happybounce.gif]

Ordered mine on 9/06/04 and picked it up on 11/30/04. Would have got mine about a week or two earlier, but the Distributor broke one of the keys. I only got it so soon because I had ordered Mineral Gray and they discontinued that color. So, they ran all of the cars ordered in that color first. My sales lady said that there was another guy who ordered his car through another sales person, and when DC sent out the e-mail stating that they would no longer be accepting orders for Mineral Gray, he called his client right away and got the color changed to Blue. She figured DC would honor the existing orders, which they did, and I got mine before he got his and I ordered mine after his. But worst of all, the other guy not only had to wait longer, but got removed from the Mineral Gray Magnum he had ordered...
Ordered a RT Magnesium Pearl on Dec 6 2004. Talked to salesman today and he said he wouldn't know anything until he received a VIN# from the factory. He said after getting a VIN#, delivery would be about 2 weeks. Is what he is telling me true? I thought they had a whole list of build codes the factory gave the dealers.

I ordered from a small-town North Georgia dealer who for 18 (19?) weeks could only repeat the same tired line - "It's still in "BX" status, we don't know any more than that"
So I sent 5 emails to dealers within 150 miles of Atlanta stating what I wanted and what I would not accept and drove the car home 3 days later.
Was nice seeing the looks on their faces when I parked in the 'don't even-think-of-parking-here' spots (took two, they are small) and went in to get my deposit back.

(and No, I didn't take the handicapped spots)
