2005 Magnum AWD v8 questions
I have found an AWD v8, 41k miles, black, with gray leather.
magnaflow mufflers, gps, heated seats....moonroof...basically loaded for around 15k...
What type of gas mileage can i expect? The books says 1 mpg loss compared to a std R/T.
Actual City and High........
Does a magnum have any engine or tranmission problems? Maintenance expensive?

RE: 2005 Magnum AWD v8 questions
I have an 07 R/T AWD and I am averaging 19.5, based on the On-Board computer. I did not check the computer's acuracy(Miles driven divided by Gallons added) yet but I know that my last vehicle (an 06 Dodge Ram Diesel) the computer was less than perfect - roughly 1.5 MPG off. My 07 only has 3500 miles and I do expect some increase with break-in. I imagine that elevation, Fuel Type, Driving Habits, Driving Conditions, as well as Road Conditions effect MPG - this may explain some of the variances.

RE: 2005 Magnum AWD v8 questions
I test drove the HEMI AWD today. I was impressed with the power band. I could diffently tell when the car was using the 4 or 8 mode.
Does any have low valve ping when they start up their HEMI's? The car i test drove seemed to have a mild chatter. I am not familar with the 5.7 HEMI engine. I believe before i move forward this car would need an inspection from a certified dodge dealer to help reduce my worries.
PS if anyone is interested in purchasing a Magnum now....please don't hesitate to low ball dealer. Dealers are having a tough time selling V8 cars. I am starting to see the magnum r/ts drop in value quickly. I have seen 40k miles R/T loaded for 12950....and the car is clean, but accross the street the dealers are asking 20k-22k.
The AWD i tested today...they are asking 17k, 40k miles on her. I believe with my trade, my car is worth nothing, i could land this car for around 12. The car tested seems to have every option but a DVD player.
any thoughts?

I would assume you would need to replace the chip to gain performance, unless you are meaning something else.
I wish the operator had more control on the 4 cyclinder set up. I wonder if someone is creating a set up to manual move the engine from an 8 to 4.
Chevy's have an indicator when the car is using 4 vs 8. Does dodges have the same options to visual montior when your car is using the 4 mode vs the 8?
