Default Anyone want my 'old' RT wheels?

I put new wheels on my RT the day I got it. 18" Zinik Z1 Shoguns, so I'm still using the original tires. I have the original RT RWD wheels, with nuts, all nicely boxed up and waiting for a good home. Anyone interested?

$450 for the set, plus shipping. I'm pretty sure I can send them via Fedex Ground for $16 or less each. I also have hi-res pics (1600x1200 focused on each wheel) if you care to see 'em. The wheels are perfect but don't take my word for it.

You can find me at websitemaker@gmail.com or visit my web site for a phone number at http://mysecretbase.com

Kinda make me wonder what else these wheels would fit - probably not much else, eh?

I wouldn't mind putting some cool wheels on the MonteSS or the Intrepid, but since those are front-drivers I assume that out of the question.

Not a clue here. I just drive on 'em. One guy was interested in these but he had an AWD. He went to ground and since then I hear that the AWD's have different offsets, so I suppose there's the reason why.

Hey Mike you need snow tires right? Wouldn't it be nice to have wheels for 'em? That way they'd be taking up space in your garage and not mine

Looks like they're headin' to Ebay. Bummer.

Do you know if they will FOR SURE fit on SXT ? I have read on other threads that they wont, but I'm not sure, seems like they would???

If someone could clarify I might be interested.

Matt,
I thought the Link was for your new Rims and Tires. Your stock Rims look in very good condition. Mind posting a picture of your new Rims and Tires? I am trying to decide what, if any, new Rims and Tires to get. I was not impressed with the 20" Rims and Tires on BMW Don's ride. Though they looked really nice, they didn't look BIG... Please post your pictures, maybe your Rims seem bigger...

I think if you went with the typical suggestion of 245/45x20's, the rims would have looked bigger, with a loss of sidewall thickness. Because of the tires profile, it makes 20" rims smaller.....who would of thought 20" rims looked too small? that's just fricken' nuts!!

I don't know if anybody as seen on ebay the stock RT rims that have been chrome plated....they don't look bad at all, for those who are against going any bigger than stock, but still want something kind of trick/slightly unique. They look nice.

The RT 18" rims will fit on an SXT. Several forum members have done the swap.

Someone else here in this thread said they would. Thats all I can say for certain I'm afraid. That and the offset for the RWD and AWD is definitely different and will NOT work. However it shouldn't be too tough to get hold of the bolt pattern and offset. I posted it on another forum, but don't have it here with me. Stuck on dialup where I am now, but I can post it later on after I get back my good old dsl.

Pics of the new wheels on the car:

Now, these pictures just don't do those wheels justice. They look teeny in the pictures (to me at least) and this impression just isn't made in real life. Someone else on this forum (thread is 'the long wait is over' or somehing similar) put 20's of this rim style onto a black RT with stock springs, and Armadillo put them on his vanilla RT with Eibach springs (the real low ones). I thought long and hard and went with the 18x8's. Tire cost over time and ride were the biggest factors.

I have to say the Black RT with these in 20' was friggin' gorgeous, but then again I love the look of mine and get constant compliments on the wheels. I'll probably cave in and do Eibach Pro-Kit springs when my wallet heals from all the chunks I have been taking out of it lately with this car since I got it. Think I'm gonna do a full set o' pipes next. Just did two Flow 40's right of the bat.

Hey Matt - I live about an hour north of Atlanta, and even though there are flurries forecasted for tonight, I wouldn't go driving the Hemi in it anyway, I'd take the Van. That makes me a LOT bigger than most folks, which tends to get them outa my way

I've done my snow driving time while in Field Service in Syracuse (22.5 years on the road) no way I'll volunteer to drive in it again :-)
