Default First 1000 miles

First 1000 miles on the Black Magnum RT>>> Build date 10/04/2004>>>Only service I have had done to magnum was an aligment. I could feel a little wear on out side edge of both front tires with my hand. This was a very little wear so I took it for an aligment. They said it was off a little so they did aligment.I had no pull before aligment or after aligment. This wagon was not made to drive in self down road by itself>>>If you drive down a straigh road and take your hands off steering wheel it will go to the left or right if there is a crown in road>>>this is not pull.

Gas milage has went up one MPG sence 500 miles test>>>I took a 250 mile trip on same road>>>I got 22.1 MPG going(I was driving in to the wind) >>on the return trip I was getting 23.4 MPG>> trip included pulling off interstate a few time for a pit stops and a few fast passes(WOW)>>>The last 50 miles I went for the best MPG>>>level interstate road>>>outside temp 32>>no wind>>>no stop and goes or passing>>>engine RPM's 2100>>>MPH 69>>>tire pressure 32 PSI cold>>>89 octain gas>>>MPG 26.7 for the 50 mile test>>> city and some short trips open roads trips at 60 MPH I get 17-18 miles per gallon average>>>>

City and A few open road trips at 60 mph I get 17-18 MPG average. I have 1,000 miles on Magnum RT now. Hope for a 1-2 miles per gallon increase at 5,000 miles.

I've been getting 17-18MPG going to work. Secondary road to interstate. I think it's these cold starts that is really killing my mileage. I did a reset of the MPG indicator on the highway and it was bouncing in the high 20s, 30's and even hit 43 on coast. I am impressed in how well the car runs when stone cold - you can't tell it's cold but I suspect that's taking a lot of gas.

I have some very unsettling feeling reading your post guys, 20-22 mpg?!! I get 16-17 on my RT's 35 min commute - 85% highway. Either there is something wrong with my vehicle, or you're just bragging. Or maybe you are these who race each other @ 45mph and annoy the heck [:@] out of other drivers - please tell me it's not so..

I have 8000 miles on my RT....I get 15 to 16 MPG with my "in-town" driving, as far as my
highway driving, I get 18 to 21. Not sure if that helps.
