Hi all! I'm considering getting a Magnum R/T as a daily driver to replace my aging Chevy pickup. I live in the SF Bay area though, and all the dealers here have insane markups on these cars. I mean, I really like the Magnum, but I'm not going to pay an extra $10K above sticker for the privilege of driving one.

Anyone have a good dealer that they can recommend?

Thanks!

WOW, 10K over sticker!!!!! If your in the bay area, if it were me I'd be checking dealers from Sacramento to LA. I'm sure you'll find one to give you a better deal than what you've found so far! Good Luck!

RE: Who knows a good dealer?
Yeah it's hard to get a popular car around here for a good price. I was considering upgrading from my '01 Camaro SS to a vette about six months ago and the Chevy dealer was still trying to get $60K for a plain old '05 coupe with the '06s right around the corner.

I test drove an RT a while back. It was a demo with about 2500 miles on it. Out of curiousity I asked how much they would want for it. It was the right color and it had all the options that I wanted, so I figured if they gave me a good price and maybe a free warranty upgrade I might be interested. The salesguy told me with a straight face that they were looking to get $45K for it. At least $8K over sticker for a demo that while it still looked really nice, you know it had been beat on.

I just laughed and walked back out to my car. I swore I'd never buy a car from that place.

If you are ready to buy you need to take a trip to southern IN. They will sell you a Magnum RT for $2.500 below list price.They have 38 (15 RT's) Magnums in stock. You can do all trading on computer or phone and go pick it up and be on way back home in less than an hour.If you need there phone number and website let ne know.

Don't know how good they are , but Fresno Dodge has a RED RT and a Black one as of last Saturday. Bought ours at Turlock Auto but it was one ordered for someone else last April!! We ordered two last July and they still aren't built. Also , I think there are two at Los Banos Motors. Call 209-826-5041 and ask for Pam. Good luck!!! { Pams a family friend that works in the office. Tell her Storm and Georgia told you to call.}

One problem may be a Magnum bought in Indianna may not be CA emissions certified.
BTW I bought mine below invoice (and then I loaded it up with accessories)

Watch out for out of state vehicles!!! Check with DMV. Most don't have CA. emissions. Checked out one in Iowa and dealer said car had to have 7500 miles or be registered out of state. Gotta love California!!!

RE: Who knows a good dealer?
Could have swore I saw the Specification on this car covered emissions for all 50 states. Just order a car on-line. Sure you have to wait, but you will get exactly what you want, the extra stuff that you don't want and you will not have to pay a premium over sticker. They still want between $3,000 and $5,000 over sticker in the Orange County / Los Angeles area, unless you go shopping. Good luck. It doesn't matter how you get one, as long as you get one, you'll be stoked...
