RE: What Shocks to us with Eibach Springs
I left my stock shocks on as well. I don't think I'll do anything more to the suspension. I did some twisty-windy road action yesterday up to a place called Huntington Lake in the lower Sierras. The spring kit allowed me to whiz around just ducky at speeds that, if they were any higher, would have forced the ESP to slow me down.
Did a round freeway onramp yesterday at speed. Body roll was fine with solid chirping from the tires; so if I tried it any faster... ESP again.
I wrote up a little more about the ride with the Eibachs here:

Rex,
Those are 18x8's presently with the stock Conti's on them. Zinik z01 Shoguns bought from and mounted by America's Tire Co. for $270 each. The pics really do not do the car justice. I just snapped a pic at a friend's house and didn't take into acct that it was only 1 day after install and I was partly on a handicap ramp, which raised the car. I need better pics. Maybe this weekend if I can get thru the snow I'll do some up at the lake.
I have had absolutely zero rub. There's plenty of clearance left, and that 'knuckle' in the front wheel wells is still well above the tire. When you drop it with stock wheels the only thing I would worry about is running into curbs when you park it.
Personally, while I really like the look of 20's I think the 18's are the best all-around size for this car. I know I'm big-time in the minority on that one but by sticking with 18's
[ul][*] you never get rubbing[*] you don't put extra unsprung weight on the car[*] you stay quick off the line, although 20's would give you more top end speed... which you can't take advantage of thanks to the dam 126mph governor.[*] max deep rubber on the road for potholes[*] if you lower the car you still have f***-up room for stuff like potholes etc.[*] the rims are cheaper, although thats a one-time-only expense. The 20's were an extra $100 each in this wheel.[*] the tires are cheaper. Another $100 per tire
[/ul]
Now I *know* everybody loves their 20's, and I am in no way saying they aren't perfect for you, and yes they make the car look great. So play nice

Matt...
Thanks...that info helps alot. I have been looking at adding chome to the wheel wells,
but I have been leaning toward staying at 18". I too like the look of the larger wheels,
I just like the ride of a taller sideawall. I plan to add the viper hood, and I think having
the car sit an inch and a half lower, it would give the car a better over all look.
Thanks again for the info....helps a great deal. [sm=thanx.gif]

That 22" wheel is going to be waaay up in that wheel well. There will be implications for ride but you'll have to ask someone with 'em to know. I would be real worried about ride and potholes/uneven road surfaces but thats me. There's also a 'knuckle' -- a low bolt thats part of the suspension/steering -- that you will have to clear. From what I hear -- and this is only half-remembered from forum posts -- you can lower it or you can put on 22's but not both. Could be wrong about that.

when ya buy a set of pro springs, are all four the springs the same or are the front different than the back?
Just wondering if I can split a purchase with someone else with a towing kit who can't put em on all the way around. I just wanna drop the front an inch and a half, leave the back stock, put 20X8.5s on the front and 22X10s on the back. Otta look coooool.
