relocation harness out next month
Ok, I was talking to a guy about installing the AVIC N2 next month in my car and asked him about the whole on board comupter thing and all. He said that if you got the bose 6 speaker system, that next month there will be available a relocation harness. what this does is allows you to keep everything hooked up when you put in a new head unit and doesn't void your factory warranty. The only problem is in the name, a relocation unit. So basically you hook this up to your factory head unit, relocate the head unit somewhere say in the back of the car on one of the side panels, then hook up the new head unit to it and put the new head unit up front. seems like alot of work just to get around the system, but you keep your warranty and can always go back to stock if you want.
you still keep your warranty if you completely remove the stock stereo and just put in a new one and wire it up, at worst case the most they can do is not pay for repair work if they can prove that something you added directly causes the problem.
