Default RE: powder coated billet grille

good question. Heck, I had the roof rack painted not long ago and I would have had that fish fin shaved at the same time if I knew the folks I was gonna buy a system from couldn't handle a splice.
they said they couldn't tap into it. I'm finding "they" can't really do much though. My sub has blown twice so far (only had the system 2 weeks), my nav doesn't work now, Uconnect no worky and of course I have no controls in the steering wheel for volume and such. I even have a horrible hiss in the highs that is accentuated when I step on the gas.
So far on all of these issues, they have told me that's normal. Having had a system or two in my day, I know it's not. I'm taking it back yet again this weekend (been back four times now) and if most of these are not solved, I'll have to have em yank that junk out and gimme my 6 grand back so I can go get a system.

as for as the questions about the grille, I don't know much about it as I bought it from a dude on dodgemagnum dot net. I just know it's a billet grille.
Wasn't that tough to install. It was harder to get the old one off than it was to get the new one on.
The bottom grille was a bit tricky just cuz there was no way to reach up under to place the brackets. I got creative though. Used a couple of chop stix to manipulate em where they needed to go. Took about an hour, I think.
