It was concerning poor wear characteristics. www.tiresettlement.com has all the details.

Default Continental tires

Try www.tiresettlement.com or 800-430-8741

If you got 43k miles on your Conti's I doubt you'll be considered for any kind of rebate. Most of the complaints have been tiires that wore irregularly (cupped) or had no tread after 10-20k miles.

Can't hurt to try though.

In fact, I replaced the tires 3 months after buying the car, when it had 31,000 kilometers on it.

The first snowstorm we had, the car wouldn't go anywhere.

Had to buy snowtires to get thru that winter, and every winter since.

I'm submitting my claim form this week, and I hope to receive $240

Default Continental Tires In The Snow

Keep your snow tires handy. The tread on those is not "all weather" so not much help in snow and the Magnum itself is not known for it's handling characteristics in snow. I don't have AWD so keep an old Chevy 4wd SUV handy for winter driving. I like to protect my Magnum from the salt anyway.
Good luck though with your attempt at reimbursement.
