Pfft... I burned off those Conti's so quick it wasn't even funny... Had nothing to do with the Tires, I went through a set of sweet Goodyear Eagle F-1's even quicker. Not a big fan of Sueing... I didn't get hurt and I didn't buy the car for the Tires, that's for sure... So I filed that one in the appropriate folder, the shredder... Keep looking, I know it's out there!

That settlement agreement was a joke. The tires were not appropriate for that car, period. Most everyone I know didn't even bother with it.

Keep us posted if you eventually do get any satisfaction out of the settlement.

Hey

If you would have read that class action paperwork, you don't have to buy conti tires and by reading the claim form you get 120 bucks for a tire on 18's (which i have) the claim section wants proof, car bill of sale, tire receipt, tire warranty. It doesn't say if you need all the doc's or not. Its a pro-rated settlement if you have less than12,000- 20,000 you get half of the settlement. However if all they want is a copy of the car purchase agreement..... And yes the settlement was just approved a month ago.

Default Settlement approved?

I haven't heard a word since submitting claim form. Was notification of settlement approval mailed to participants? Was any timetable for payment mentioned? Thanks!

Default Continental Tire Settlement

I filled out the paperwork for the settlement thinking it would be useless (apparently I filled them out twice) and lo and behold, received two (2) checks for $240 each.
Patience pays off in this case. I also got $75 credit for the old tires when I replaced them after pursuing Continental dealers until I found one that would persuade Continental to to honor the responsibility for 4 "cupped" tires that I was told was because of not rotating or aligning after only 12k miles. Yea right! Even at that it cost me over $500 to replace them. Now I feel I'm even.

Default check rec'd

I rec'd my settlement check, however, the amount was only about 50% of what it should've been, $140. Thang111, I think you got some of mine!
Does anyone have contact info available? I'd like to take a shot at getting the unpaid balance but I have none of the paperwork any longer. Help!?

My wife owns a 2007 Magnum with 18" Continental tires. The first winter, we had to put on snows, as the Continentals were awful.
Also, I just noticed when t put the snows on 2 days ago, that the Continentals are now worn down to the wear bars, with only 43,000km on them. The snows have done 20,000km., an don't even look worn.

So my question is this. Pardon my ignorance, but what was this class action lawsuit all about?

Is it too late for my wife & I to submit paperwork and get some kind of refund?

Thank you,
Gord from Ajax Ontario.
