Ok, so picture this. I am driving my RT magnum up here in New England where many people don't know what this thing is. So I am at a stop light (two lane road) waiting to make a left onto a four lane major road. I am the second car in line and the one in front of me is this rice burner or two door hatchback honda civic as they are labeled on the car. lol. It has it's 8 wide tail pipe and a body kit on it with a young kid driving. Well I figure this is a good chance to work in my gears getting up to speed on the road I was turning onto so I throw it into first. The light turns green and the kid takes the inside fast lane and I go to the outside of him in the slower lane. As I start to pass him in first gear/shifting to second he decides he wants to race and floors it while waving at me thinking he is going to burn this station wagon. Well I proceed to down shift into first and slam my foot down to the ground. Well let me tell you when you down shift and the RPMS already jump to 4000 you get thrown back a little. Needless to say I was only in third when I hit 80 and he was 100 yards or so behind me. I slow back down to 70 and he catches up, looks at my car, then me, then takes off down the road. It made my day to put this kid in his place. He thought he had a chance too b/c he was smiling as he was shifting into second, you could tell the car lurtched a little, as i was shifting down to first. So there was a slight delay in my serious butt whooping of him.

 

Nice kill! I get looks and questions all the time. It is really fun to have something different as a daily driver.

 

smokin rice burners is simply fun.
I mean, it's fun to kill a mustang GT or a GTO but I get a kick out of hearing those fart cans waaaay behind me.

grinner, the 05 GTO has 400 horses and 400 ft lbs of torque. How many of them have you beat?

 

Those new GTO's scare me.....

Does not always work.

Today I'm cruising on the Autobahn A9, doing about 90, and see a silver something coming up fast in my mirror. I'm thinking Porsche Boxter or 911, so I kick it up to 120 or so, and he's still coming. I move over to the center lane, and a new Nissan Z goes by me like I stalled.

I didn't know his Magnum was pumped. I wan't putting anyone down, but a stock Magnum vs a stock GTO, I think I'd put my $$ on the GTO
