take it to the dealer and have the fluid level checked.

trying to avoid the dealer.i can fix it myself if i knew where to start.just thought somebody on here would have had the same problem.fluid level is fine, that wouldnt cause a noise unless it was down a few Quarts,im thinking it may be the pump, but i also got a code a month ago,and it said transmission pressure switch, now where would that be?

no codes have come up since the oil pressure sensor that i cleared once i replaced it.i will go back in and see if a code is in there that wasnt cleared.how do you check the tranny fluid in these cars?dont tell me you have to go to the dealer to have it done?my dealer wanted $100 dollars to check mine and i laughed so hard i nearly **** me pants!there has got to be a probe or dipstick that is sold somewhere? i am a pretty good mechanic and build hot rods as a hobby so i can fix anything on the car i just need to know what direction to go in?and help would be greatly appreciated!thank you!

the dealer needs to check the fluid level. they use a starscan to get the trans temp and then measure the fluid level off the bottom of the pan. then they use a chart to get the correct level at that trans temp.

for example: at 180* trans fluid temp, the level should be 70mm.
