Default rear view video camera

I dig it. Not a single blind spot:

My kids now dig watching traffic more than DVDs and I have much more piece of mind when I back up.
Great investment. Having everything else already, the camera came in at 300 bucks installed.

i like the fact that the camera isnt mounted or cut into the bumper. the only thing i would worry about is theft. living in LA there are many trained eyes (too many) that will take what they can...
anyway, keep up the good work! what Head Unit is that? Eclipse?

It's a Kenwood Excelon

Pretty neat. It's a touch screen so when watching a DVD, you can just tap the screen left or right to skip chapters. I've used it to show clients their projects.
It's cool having a touch screen for Nav too. Just zoom out and touch your destination. You can enter it numericly too like the factory Nav but being able to touch points of intrest is a big time-saver.

The downsides to this deck are:
It's not Uconnect friendly and I'll have to grab an adapter from Crutchfield to get the steering wheel controls to work with it.
I can daisy chain my factory deck later on to get Uconnect workin' again. There is room under the seat for it.
Also, it comes with it's own Nav and sirius antennas. I put em both on my dash and now my factory (and rather huge) satellite antenna is bogus. I sheved the freakin roof rack and would have shaven this too if I would have known ya can't splice into it with a different antenna.

Grin,
Nice install. Where'd you get the dash kit for the double din opening? All I have found is the single din at Crutchfield.

No. I had audio express in st louis do it and they are not very professional.
Lemme know if/how ya get Uconnect to work. I'm told I'll have to daisy-chain the stock deck for it to work. There is an adapter that'll get steering wheel audio control back but I havn't gotten it yet.

The bezel was cut to fit the deck... It's not a dash kit.
Wish they would have asked before doing that.

Looks great. Wish I had the money for a set-up like that.

Wouldn't a nav trim fit the double din opening? I was looking the other day and came to that conclusion, as the unit is pretty big, and has a different rim than the non nav.

No. The stock Nav is much larger than this double din. This is why they cut the dash.
Still, I wasn't sold on the deck yet (still am not for that matter) so it was pretty reckless on their part.
But then, so is making a customer come back every weekend for six weeks to get the system sounding right.

I otta send em an invoice for my time.
