I think its impossible to put the front end on jack stands with a floor jack because there is only one lifting point on each side behind and towards the center of car. There is no reference to using the crossmember to lift the car with a floor jack even though I see a huge black steel crossmember near the engine.

i didnt see anything solid in the front either. with the plastic skid plate on or off. i've been lifting it from the behind the front tires and using jack stands on the cross member i believe you are talking about. its so deep and low that my jack wouldnt even be able to pump if i could get it to that cross member.
as for the rear where is everyone jacking from?

Where does the owners manual say to put the stock jack at? There must be jacking instructions somewhere on the car.
