Default Mr. Grille Verticle Overlay

I got around to doing it this past weekend. (I thought I needed SXT grilles in order to have it completely blacked out). Well we pulled apart the RT grille, and then had the all black grille I wanted. Then we installed the grille. Here's the picture...

I'm getting one.

What did you do to the stock grill to make it all black ?

The RT grille can be taken apart. The chrome/silver parts can be removed. I didn't know this before I started so I went out and bought the SXT grille. But you don't need them. All I did was remove the grilles from the bumper cover and pulled apart the crome from the black grille. EASY.

They are some sort of chrome overlays that you removed or is the chrome adhesive backed ?

I am wondering if I could restore it back to factory if needed ?

I gotta admit, I'm not loving it. But it does look fine if you like that look. For some reason it makes me think of the VW beetle. I'm not sure why.

How long did it take to install the kit? I've seen a mesh kit that I do sorta like.

YES. They snap onto the black factory part of the grille so you can always go back to original.

Yeah I like it....so that's what counts....

It took like 45-60 minutes....spent more time making the brackets work the way I wanted them too....it's real simple....
